Lowa Group, Inc. is an independence insurance group that helps people and businesses make the best insurance decisions possible, with a pool of agencies to work from to suit anyone’s (or any businesses’) needs. But as a business founded in the 1970s and headquartered in a more than 100 year old building in Pottstown, there are a few challenges when it comes to technology. The historic building in Pottstown is a beautiful office for an insurance group, despite the maintenance, so when it came time to evaluate their network and physical IT infrastructure, they came to KPInterface. As IT professionals, we were happy to help Lowa Group, Inc. keep their headquarters without conceding to technology.

Solutions: New Technology Installation
Lowa Group, Inc. had initially approached KPInterface for a small project—organizing the cabling in their IT cabinet. but we recommended a Technology Alignment Review so they can get a full understanding of their current IT environment. From there, we developed a technology roadmap that began with moving and re-cabling their server cabinet, followed by a replacement of their server, then updating computers from Windows 7 to Windows 10, next migrating computers to Microsoft 365, and finally installing a VoIP line, so Lowa Group, Inc. can make and take phone calls out of the office. KPInterface was able to replace technology with disrupting business because our technology roadmap created a project plan that both KPInterface and Lowa Group, Inc. collaborated on together.
